VP of Cyber Security Architecture leads a team of cybersecurity professionals that plan and design security solutions that enable the organization to identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Utilizes the latest tools, techniques, and training in cyber security architecture to create and design the organization's cyber security policies and procedures. Being a VP of Cyber Security Architecture develops the organization's strategic vision for cyber security architecture and establishes priorities and strategies consistent with business goals. Partners with stakeholders to encourage the adoption of security-compatible software designs and best practices. Additionally, VP of Cyber Security Architecture keeps abreast of the latest intelligence from law enforcement and other sources of cyber threat information and briefs stakeholders with actionable information. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering. May require Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). May require Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Typically reports to top management. The VP of Cyber Security Architecture manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives.
