Prepares and processes purchase orders for medications and other products. Monitors, standardizes and maintains inventory for products used within Pharmacy Department. Performs product evaluations, controls costs, and par levels. Maintains communications with appropriate personnel regarding status of items on back order. Maintains expertise in material management software, industry trends, and regulatory requirements. Anticipates specialty needs and ensures availability of supplies.
At least 2 years of pharmacy purchasing and inventory management experience.
Graduate of ASHP-accredited or equivalent pharmacy technician training program preferred.
