How to Become an Instructor - Law

The so - called "instructor law" to change the harsh environment has passed the National Assembly in November last year and will be enforced in August.

Some universities are moving to lay off lecturers before enforcement of lecturers' law.

The lawyers say that they are kicking out because of the protection law.

Universities say that if the tuition fees are frozen for several years and the enforcement of the instructor law is overlapped, the financial burden will increase and restructuring will be necessary.

Others focus on career-related subjects, such as law, nursing, or culinary arts.

Applicant must be a law enforcement officer/agent with arrest authority in the prevention, detection, apprehension, detention and/or investigation of felony and/or misdemeanor violations of federal, state, local, tribal, or military criminal laws or those designated Direct Law Enforcement Support Personnel (DLESP) and have assigned duties that require knowledge of the subject matter.

Students must be actively engaged in or expected to be assigned as a driver training instructor for their organization.

Students must have graduated from a recognized law enforcement driver instructor training program prior to applying for the LEADITP.  (Also in class letter that is sent out in advance after students are registered.  This responsibility is on the student and their agency.  The FLETC does not require proof or submission of any certificate.).

Criminal background checks are required for instructor applicants recommended for hire or current employees who are transferred, promoted, reclassified, or….

Must have completed the NYS DCJS Instructor Developmental course or possess a master’s degree….
