Role: Delivery/Release Manager

Delivery & Release Management
• Tribe releases on planned date without any high impact issues
• Successful planning and delivery of projects/initiatives/features
• Solutions delivered in a structured and predictable manner ensuring high quality and surety around time-frames
• Manage and identify dependencies
• External vendor deliverables successfully delivered on-time and on-budget
• Capturing metrics and lessons to help improve the practice
• Improvements are viable in the Way of Working of the squads
Vendor management
• Install & run operational monthly operations meetings with vendors
• Improve vendor processes
• Gate control over vendor SOW & solutions
• Effective management of vendor dependencies
• Ensure vendors perform to the agreed service levels and governance standards
• Define and continuously improve delivery structure between internal and external vendor
• Work closely with vendor PM in ensuring allocated non-resource/vendor budget is being spent in an effective way aligned to prioritized project deliverables
Process improvements: release and vendor
• Reduce release cycle time
• Increase release management activities & knowledge (of support packs & release management) at squad level
• Decrease manual release management activities through automation
• Implement process improvements alternative to roll out tools and processes
What are we looking for?
• Hands on end to end project delivery experience from design to “Go-Live”
• IT Engineering or development background
• Financial services experience – banking experience is highly advantageous
• Knowledge of design, infrastructure, configurations and 3rd party vendor management
• Knowledge CI/CD, deployment tools and VCS such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Octopus, TFS etc)
• Adoption of Agile / Scrum practices, methodologies and attitudes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced stakeholder management and influencing skills across a range of levels of senior management
• Excellent work planning and organizational skills
