We’re looking to expand our team by adding a Senior Data Modeler will be pivotal in developing our cloud data platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data modeling, a deep understanding of retail industry data models, and expertise in operational data modeling and ETL logic for subject-oriented data marts. The candidate will also be responsible for data ingestion from numerous applications, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data across our platforms.
Role responsibilities
As a Data Modeller, you’ll be:
- Designing and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient data models for operational data and subject-oriented data marts.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models.
- Create and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data platform.
- Manage data ingestion processes from multiple applications, ensuring data consistency and reliability.
- Develop and maintain data integration frameworks to support real-time and batch data processing.
- Apply deep knowledge of retail industry data models, particularly in areas such as sales, inventory, loss prevention, supply chain, and warehouse management.
- Utilize industry best practices to design data models that support the unique needs of a pharmaceutical retail business.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, ETL processes, and data integration workflows.
- Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards.
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing operational data models and subject-oriented data marts.
- Extensive experience with ETL development and data integration processes.
- In-depth knowledge of data models for sales, inventory, loss prevention, supply chain, and warehouse management.
- Strong understanding of cloud data platforms and related technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
