One of our Federal Government clients is seeking multiple developers at various experience levels to contribute to a significant program of work. The positions are open to Australian Citizens who either hold or are willing to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance. Flexible working arrangements are available across locations in Canberra, Brisbane, and Adelaide.
Role Details:
Submission deadline: 10/10
Contract duration: 01/11/2024 - 01/11/2025
Possible extensions: 2 x 12-month options
Eligibility: Must be an Australian Citizen and able to secure Baseline Clearance

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct analysis, design, software development, prototyping, testing, and maintenance under the guidance of senior developers.
Draft technical documentation for review.
Provide support and maintenance in assigned areas of responsibility.
Create software designs for medium-complexity custom solutions or migrations.
Support release management and maintain high software development standards.
Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve production issues in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with established software methodologies.
Stay current with ICT policies and share knowledge within the team.
Senior Developer APS6 (Senior-level Developer)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced analysis, design, development, prototyping, and testing.
Provide technical support to development teams.
Analyse technical requirements and propose solutions for project evaluations.
Design high-complexity custom solutions or migration plans.
Maintain high-quality standards in software development.
Escalate issues and propose alternative solutions where necessary.
Lead innovative approaches to meet both enterprise and user needs.
Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
Monitor workload to ensure the achievement of business goals.
Draft comprehensive technical documents and project reports.
Senior Development Expert EL1 (Expert-level Developer)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage analysis, design, development, unit testing, and maintenance activities.
Solve complex technical problems and deliver high-quality solutions.
Provide high-level analysis and develop complex custom solutions.
Manage release processes and ensure go-live support.
Serve as the subject matter expert, mentoring less experienced developers.
Ensure adherence to endorsed development methodologies.
Monitor team performance against key performance indicators.
Provide detailed technical advice to senior leadership.
Oversee the development and maintenance of systems that support day-to-day operations.
Lead change initiatives and encourage continuous improvement.
