About the role
An opportunity exists for an experienced HR professional to fill a 12-month parental leave relief role. As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will be responsible for the effective implementation of HR and workforce strategies for allocated portfolio areas and work closely with management to achieve strategic outcomes.
You will provide expert advisory support on people management, recruitment, employee and industrial relations, and associated matters, while recommending improvements to HR processes in a contemporary local government environment.
About the successful candidate
The person we seek will possess a tertiary degree in human resources, employee relations, or a related discipline, along with at least 5 years of experience in a similar HR role.
The position requires someone with sound working knowledge and understanding of the application of relevant industrial and employment related legislation, regulations, and awards, as well as policy application, HR systems, and people management principles.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work effectively with business unit leaders and staff, possess excellent communication skills, the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and concurrent tasks with competing demands, and be proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIMS.
What we offer
This full-time, 12-month contract position (with possible extension) offers a cash salary range of $95,463 - $111,058 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, plus superannuation.
