About The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an Electrical Instrumentation Apprenticeship to join the CleanCo team at Swanbank Power Station in Ipswich. This is a 5-year fixed term contract and will provide an exceptional opportunity to learn a technical trade. This role is a part of a multidisciplinary site-based team and will perform plant maintenance, modification, overhauls, plant inspections and related duties to meet the production and maintenance requirements at Swanbank Power Station.

You will achieve this through the application of learned skills and by assisting in the delivery of planned preventative maintenance to ensure that CleanCo operates highly reliable renewable generation.

The successful candidate will complete both on and off the job training including TAFE study blocks to achieve a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control l while developing work skills and experience supported by ongoing mentoring and coaching.

About You

• Year 12 completed or completing with satisfactory results in Maths and English.
• Study of Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control will be an ongoing requirement of undertaking an Electrical Instrumentation Apprenticeship.
• Current manual or automatic driver’s license (open/provision/learner).
• Basic understanding of Workplace Health and Safety procedures.
• Ability to complete basic calculations.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Basic computer skills including data entry.
• Basic skills in the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, small machinery and various static and mobile vehicles, plant and machinery.
