Job Title: Sales and Marketing ManagerKey Responsibilities

Market Expansion:

  • Improve the company's market share by building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals, and maintaining an extensive knowledge of the current market conditions.
  • Proactively target key industries to secure new and repeat business.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Manage current client relationships while maintaining high service levels and effectively influencing to ensure repeat business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues quickly.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.

Sales and Marketing Execution:

  • Act as a proactive sales executive to secure new customers and drive business growth.
  • Capitalise on leads, source and respond to tenders and contracts.
  • Establish a customer base by proactively targeting key industries.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and set sales targets to maximise sales and customer loyalty.

Market Understanding and Strategy Development:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of market trends to pursue and develop opportunities in local and regional areas.
  • Network effectively within the industry to meet key contacts.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve our service offerings and market positioning.

Sales and Revenue Growth:

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and contracts.
  • Negotiate terms and close sales deals.
  • Achieve gross profit sales targets and agreed-upon KPIs.
  • Prospect and win new strategic business opportunities within our ideal customer segment.
  • Manage your sales pipeline to quickly nurture prospects into new customers.
  • Create, implement, and execute sales plans.
  • Manage and deliver on sales activities—including prospecting, meetings, client qualifications, presentations, quoting, and proposal submission—in a timely, professional manner.

Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the creation and execution of creative brand strategies to increase the MeeQ's brand presence.
  • Maintain and grow the company's social media platforms.
  • Track and analyse key metrics including pipeline growth, win/loss rates, quota attainment, and market share.
  • Own the end-to-end process of tracking the sales funnel and operational metrics delivering regular insights to the business.

Reporting:

  • Work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports and forecasts to the management team.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes and strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of industry sales and business development experience in logistics, homewares, perfumery, gifting, and the toys sector.
  • Extensive knowledge in logistics, sales, business development, and customer retention. Must excel at problem-solving, attention to detail, and time management.
  • Ability to prospect and win new strategic business opportunities, manage sales activities, and deliver presentations and proposals professionally.
  • Ability to connect and negotiate rates and space with carriers is highly regarded.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Proficient in CRM logistics software.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Relationships and the ability to connect and negotiate rates and space with carriers would be highly regarded.
  • Extensive logistics knowledge related to sales, business development, and customer retention.
  • Extremely versatile, self-starter who excels at problem-solving.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with excellent time management skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00 – $76,000.00 per year
