The role:
In accordance with Agency policies, procedures, and guidelines, assist with food preparation, production, plating service, ware-washing, and cleaning duties in the provision of catering services to patients, visitors, and staff of the hospital.
- Assist in maintaining a high standard of food preparation, service, meal distribution, ware-washing, and cleaning of the hospital service areas and in accordance with the relevant codes of practice.
- Check patient identification is correct prior to delivering/distributing meals and observe all dietary restrictions allocated to patients.
- Perform receipt and storage duties associated with food supplies in line with food safety guidelines.
- Perform general food preparation, service and menu related duties.

This position is located at the Royal Hobart Hospital. The hours are 4.30pm to 7.30pm on a rotational shift work roster working weekends and public holidays.
- Work as a member of a dynamic team distribution evening meals for patients at the RHH.
- Good communication skills with a diverse range of staff and patients are highly desired.
Details of Appointment
Multiple part time shift-worker (fully rotational) positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary: $55,466 - $57,712 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year other benefits if eligible.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
