About The Role
Community Rehabilitation is a time-limited, goal-based program, where the incumbent will be expected to work with the client, their carers & our interdisciplinary team to maximise health, functional independence & community participation. Workload will incorporate both home and centre-based activity inclusive of leading group programs which may include aquatic physiotherapy.
As a Grade 2 physiotherapist in the Community Rehabilitation Program, you will be responsible for managing a mixed caseload of neurological, musculoskeletal and general rehabilitation clients in addition to non-clinical portfolios and responsibilities. This position requires sound clinical skills across neurological, musculoskeletal and general rehabilitation, and an ability to assess and manage psychosocially complex clients with the support of the interdisciplinary team. This position may also include a role in the supervision, mentoring and support to students, junior staff and allied health assistants.

You will be able to work autonomously in the community. You may participate in teaching, training, research and quality activities in consultation with your Team Leader/Senior Clinician and/or Manager (Rehabilitation and Specialist Clinics).
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Possess
- Current Physiotherapy registration with AHPRA.
- Experience in managing a complex neurological, and/or general rehabilitation caseload and comprehensive discharge planning using a client-centred approach.
- Broad clinical experience encompassing diverse patient presentations.
- Previous clinical experience working in an aligned clinical environment.
- High level communication skills, both written and oral.
- Demonstrated capacity to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in supervision of staff and/or students.
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
