The Role

Carry out all aspects of the Engineer for the Engineering Department and Freo Group within the guidelines set out below to successfully achieve the company's objectives as assigned by the Freo Group President. These objectives shall cover the timely completion of activities in all the duties and responsibilities set out below.

You will be responsible for but not be limited to:

• Support providing lift studies, transport drawings, method statements and crane comparisons.
• Create spreadsheets supporting calculations required for lift studies and transport drawings.
• Create dynamic 3D blocks for newly purchased cranes and rigging equipment.
• Respond to technical queries during incident investigations.
• Create modified designs of available equipment.
• Provide crane comparisons, make recommendations for capital expenditure.

We are after people with the following attributes:

• Experience working in the crane and rigging industry or in similar mining or heavy civil/mechanical projects.
• Current Driver's License.
• A degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Experience in designing critical lift studies/plans using Kranxpert and Auto CAD/Solidworks software.
• Experience planning, performing calculations, plan developments and authorisation of similar heavy lifts.
