Juce Advisory is recruiting for a client within Public Practice accounting who is seeking a new full-time Senior Accountant to join their team based out of Brisbane.
This new accountant will work closely with their manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality, effective accounting and taxation services for clients.
The Senior Accountant is:
- Responsible for the effective delivery of accountant and taxation services by providing complex business advisory, compliance, and accounting work within agreed timeframes, in line with industry legislation and regulations as well as company policies and procedures.
- Works directly with clients using appropriate communication channels.
- Provides high quality, timely support to the Accounting Manager, Directors, and all team members; and
- An effective team member; and is committed to, and fully participates in, the success of the Practice.
- Provides coaching and support to junior staff; including the completion of 1st round reviews.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing accounting and taxation compliance, including completion of complex business advice statements, financial statements, and reconciliations for companies, trusts and individuals.
- General bookkeeping duties as required.
- Preparation of activity statements.
- Works and communicates directly with clients.
- Liaising with ATO and other government bodies on client matters.
- Achieving delegated targets.
- Conducts first found reviews for junior staff as delegated by Supervisor/Manager to ensure correct accounting and taxation standards have been applied and correct processes have been followed.
- Provides review points, coaching and support to develop capability among team members.
- Begins to delegate work to junior team members and sets clear goals for completion.
Qualifications
- 3 years experience within public practice accounting.
- Degree Qualification (Bachelor of Business – Major in Accountancy or similar)
- Completed or close to completion of CA/ CPA.
