Job description
We are looking for two female support workers from Indian cultural background to fill out shifts for a participant located in Dundas, NSW. The working hours are 10 am-1 pm and 4pm -7 Pm Monday-Friday. The worker must have a car, driving and have all necessary checks and qualifications to undertake the role. Eperience working with mental health condition is highly desirable. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively, has good listening skills, and be reliable, punctual and professional. Mature candidates are encouraged to apply, candidates with working or student visas are welcome.
Hours of work:
10 am-1 pm and 4pm -7 Pm Monday-Friday.
The responsibilities include:
Engage participant in community activities
Providing companionship to participants, assistance with maintaining physical mobility
Transporting clients to and from appointments, recreational activities, or other sites that they required
Assisting client with home-based activities, such as housekeeping, minor cleaning, meal preparation, grocery shopping
To successfully perform this role, you will need:
Certificate of Mental Health/Disability or equivalent or willingness to enrol (presently studying related field).
Experience working with mental health conditions or studying in mental health field is necessary
Understanding and following Work, Health and Safety policies and procedures
Understanding and implementing the concept of professional boundaries and ethical behaviour
Understanding triggers and being familiar with a behaviour support plan (desirable)
Mental Health First Aid (desirable)
Essential requirements:
National Police check
Working With Children Check
First Aid Certification
Australian Driver’s License and access to a reliable and insured car
Covid fully vaccination certificate.
