Liverpool City Council is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Advisor to provide high-level support, analysis, and guidance to the Offices of the Director City Futures, Mayor, and Chief Executive Officer.

About The Role
This pivotal role involves navigating complex political and policy environments, offering strategic insights, and ensuring the Council remains well-positioned to achieve its goals. The ideal candidate will excel in managing risks and seizing opportunities while delivering expert advice to shape and drive key initiatives.
The Senior Advisor Is Responsible For
Delivering strategic advice and analysis on a broad range of issues
Guiding the Council through complex political and policy landscapes
Supporting the Director City Futures, Mayor, and CEO in achieving strategic objectives
Managing and mitigating risks, while identifying and leveraging opportunities
About You

The Successful Applicant Will Have
Proven experience in a senior advisory role with expertise in strategic planning and political analysis.
Strong understanding of Local Government Framework
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to navigate and influence complex policy and political environments
