Your role at St John of God Midland Hospital In this role, you will provide high-level, prompt and efficient end-to end administrative and customer services to specialists, patients and the Patient Flow Unit at Midland Public and Private Hospitals from receipt of notification to admit, through the continuum of care to point of admission. The Position Communicate effectively with all customers and patients using the appropriate channels, utilising appropriate formal and informal channels of communication. Adhere to all applicable St John of God Health Care policies and guidelines. Admit patients Fund Checking Pre-admit bookings as directed Prepare admission files and check Call Patients Pre-admission Following up on identified financial issues File PAC notes in Admission Pack Support back office as directed. You will have excellent computer skills and previous experience with Excel, Word and Patient Administration Systems (e.g. WebPAS) with knowledge of, elective surgery waitlist clerical responsibilities, and an understanding of the private health funding. Sound conflict resolution skills, interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written are essential. To succeed in this fast paced, dynamic administration environment with competing commands, you must have the ability to liaise effectively with the public, patients and all levels of caregivers in a professional manner, while prioritising your workload using analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. You will have the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary work environment with ongoing commitment to quality and continually seek improvements to work processes.
