About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced
Maintenance Planner to join our Wilpinjong mine site. Our Wilpinjong mine is an open-cut mine located 48 kilometres northeast of Mudgee producing a high quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets.
Reporting to the Senior Mobile Maintenance Planner, the scope of your role will require you to maintain and improve maintenance scheduling to maximise mobile fleet maintenance of our
predominately CAT fleet. This will be achieved through focusing on developing safe, sustainable plans to ensure equipment availability and reliability.
Duties will include:
- Ensuring maintenance "best practice" techniques are implemented to ensure equipment is maintained to a high safety, productive and reliability standard
- Schedule of maintenance work as per best practice process.
- Outline risks and opportunities within major maintenance schedules, including identifying and managing synergies and conflicts between activities;
- Monitoring and reporting on the progress of maintenance work execution.
- Working with stakeholders to ensure that maintenance work is scheduled to meet business priorities.
- Ensure the maintenance schedules are integrated with other external and internal stakeholders
- Working with Superintendents to ensure optimum allocation of internal and external resources.
- Providing scheduling and planning support, influence and coaching to ensure effective weekly targets are agreed, scheduled and communicated effectively
- Ensuring relevant spares/inventory levels are identified and work with stakeholder to manage lead time on parts
- Prioritisation of work and time management
- Developing and nurturing relationships with our internal customers as well as our key suppliers
- Ensuring compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, WH&S standards and site policies and procedures

About you:
- Mechanical Trade or Engineering qualification is desirable
- 18 months experience as a Mobile Maintenance Scheduler desirable
- Strong working knowledge of SAP, maintenance planning and scheduling principles and procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- You will also have demonstrated experience in safety systems and processes including JSEAs, risk assessments and permits
- Experience with Microsoft Project is not required but desirable
