Our Corporate Sustainability team is instrumental in supporting the firm to realise its responsible business ambitions internally, and in the market. We support the firm in delivering on its net zero commitments, blending technical skills and strategy to advise our internal functions on issues that have real impact on our world. We’re looking for an ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Risk Specialist to help drive responsible business practices within our vast community of solvers.

Use the know-how you've gained in risk management to help identify and manage the ESG issues relevant to our business (e.g. climate, nature, human rights including modern slavery). We work from anywhere, so your strong communication skills and team ethos will get a workout.

The ESG Risk Specialist is pivotal in driving responsible business practices and is accountable for delivering ESG risk management solutions to enhance PwC’s resilience, reputation and long-term value creation. You’ll make an impact by:

This will include understanding current public commitments and internal PwC network standards, industry best practice, and any current or incoming regulatory requirements
  • Working with relevant subject matter experts to leverage existing (or develop new) frameworks to capture, manage and monitor ESG risks
  • Working across various functions to identify which stakeholders should be engaged on current and emerging ESG issues and determine the appropriate governance and day to day management of individual ESG risks. This may include:
    • preparing a RACI (responsible, accountable, consulted and informed) map against relevant business units/specialists
    • defining first line versus second line of defence functions
  • Reviewing the material risk profile with respect to the delivery and disclosure of our ESG obligations and public commitments
  • Working with the Contracting Centre of Excellence (CCoE) to assess how to effectively manage our exposure to ESG obligations
  • Working with relevant stakeholders to understand impending Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS) and what it means for our current climate / sustainability management and reporting practices including climate risk assessment, climate scenario analysis and climate transition planning
  • Supporting the Director, Responsible Business with a range of other ESG risk related activities

More About You
