Health & Safety Manager

Ventia are engaged to provide facility management of the Royal North Hospital and Northern Beaches Hospitals located in Sydney. We’re hiring a Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) Manager to deliver on the SHEQ requirements of the program utilising systems and process to foster an integrated approach to SHEQ management in delivering on legal, contractual and business requirements.

This is a full-time permanent role which will predominately be based at the Royal North Shore Hospital in St Leonards.

About The Role

You’ll be a member of the Royal North Shore & Northern Beaches Hospitals Senior Leadership Team and a key leader in promoting a positive and generative approach to the health and safety, environment and quality functions across the projects. Furthermore you’ll:

• Manage and assist with implementation of SHEQ management plans across the project
• Provide SHEQ guidance and support to the Operations team to ensure enhanced sustainability and a safe workplace with zero impact on the environment
• Manage the safety management system database and reporting
• Undertake investigations in relation to SHEQ related incidents or issues and provide recommendations.
• Ensure risk assessments, SWMS and risk registers are maintained and all records are managed.
• Ensure that the Ventia “Critical Risk Protocols” are embedded in the project
  
  

About You

• Sound experience in Workplace, Health, and Safety. Ideally a background in facilities, health and/or construction.
• Cert IV or Diploma in relevant WHS desirable.
• Ability to clearly communicate and consult to deliver and execute strategies to ensure compliance, minimise risk and drive continuous improvement.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and a positive team culture.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
