Job Description Summary The Maintenance Leader VeLOCity is the Technical Systems owner for their assigned line/s. They provide deep technical knowledge of the production lines, supporting the creation of loss elimination standards. They are responsible for eliminating maintenance and breakdown-related losses. They are also responsible for building the capability of operating teams and equipment owners to deliver overall line results that support the site’s compelling business needs. Job Description Manages line-specific VeLOCity maintenance processes to achieve the facilities’ Compelling Business Need goals and objectives Actively participates in Line Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings and manages execution of daily maintenance plans Owns Preventive Maintenance (PM) Systems for the Line 1, focusing on Maintenance Planning/Scheduling Owns Breakdown Elimination Daily Management System for Line 1 Owns workstreams related to defect handling system and tools for Line 1 Supports the development of and leads portions of the 90-day loss elimination plans Provide support and suggestions to Team Leaders and Team Members in the direction setting meetings Supports the development of Root Cause capabilities to eliminate both chronic and sporadic line stops Drives results in Planned & Unplanned Downtime, with a focus on R&M line costs, % planned maintenance, % PMs completed and breakdown reduction Builds the capability of line operators, serving as a technical resource and coach Design, implement, and maintain systems to collect and analyze data for critical product and process parameters; use this data to identify equipment losses Work with plant & line management to prioritize improvement opportunities Eliminate or reduce prioritized losses through making process or work system changes. Participate in the daily direction-setting process – report results, embrace opportunities, and request resources as needed Use Reliability Engineering tools to drive center-lining and loss elimination for the Line 1 Share and reapply learning across processes, modules, and plants Develop themselves through participating in corporate and external training Take part in planned stops and RCOs flowing to the line as needed Provide regular and consistent on the floor coaching, be present on the floor for operators to support the process of helping build their capabilities Other duties as assigned Basic & Preferred Qualifications Three to five years of progressive maintenance experience in a relevant industry. One to two years of leadership experience preferred. Language Skills Effectively communicates in English verbally and in writing. Understands instructions and follow directions in English. Reads and interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Writes routine reports and correspondence. Speaks effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization—excellent presentation skills. Mathematical Skills Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Computes rate, ratio, and percent and draws and interprets bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of manufacturing software; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Outlook.
