Responsibilities:
- Define project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Develop key project deliverables including project charters, business cases, and comprehensive project plans.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timelines.
- Serve as the Project Manager for large, complex custom software development projects.
- Conduct, facilitate, and interpret impact and risk assessments to inform project decisions.
- Create and manage project forecasts using Microsoft Project.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships across the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Coordinate projects involving government and vendor-wide information systems.
- Lead and facilitate meetings with stakeholders at all levels to ensure project alignment and progress.
- Lead change management and communication planning efforts for project initiatives.
- Drive the successful delivery of custom software application development projects following formal project management methodologies.
- Oversee projects within the public sector, ensuring compliance with sector-specific requirements and standards.
- Work on Enterprise Content Management systems to streamline content management processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a 4-year university or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 6 years of experience defining project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Minimum 8 years of experience developing project deliverables, including project charters and business cases.
- Minimum 8 years of experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a Project Manager on large, complex custom software development projects.
- Ability to learn quickly, problem-solve, troubleshoot, work independently, and collaborate as part of a team.
- Proven ability to manage stress and conflict effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Minimum 5 years of experience conducting, facilitating, and interpreting impact and risk assessments.
- Minimum 4 years of experience creating and managing project forecasts in Microsoft Project.
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing and maintaining positive relationships across the organization.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project coordination involving government and vendor-wide information systems.
- Minimum 8 years of experience leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading change management and communication planning.
- Minimum 6 years of experience leading custom software application development projects following formal project management methodologies.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in or for the public sector.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working on Enterprise Content Management systems.
