Job Posting for Dispatcher Afterhours at Alliance Group & Staffing
Duties:
Quickly analyze the information received form the caller and dispatch the required vehicles.
Coordinate, schedule, manage and communicate all pickup and delivery requirements to drivers via telephone and/or pre-planned trips.
Configure routes daily for pickup and delivery for drivers, ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
Optimize driver trips and routes to ensure truck and service capacity.
Monitor and maintain constant communication with all drivers always.
Respond to customer inquiries and requests for pickups.
Help resolve work-related problems and monitor work related accidents and incidents.
Track any habitual problems. Investigate situations for root causes and provide corrective solutions to problems to avoid re-occurrence.
Ensure smooth daily dispatch operations including computer systems, loading equipment and machinery.
Advise and inform drivers of route and traffic problems such as: construction, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, weight and size restrictions and other information.
Provide other customer service or after hours support as required.
Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of Cross border Dispatch.
Excellent planning and organization skills.
Excellent spatial and reasoning skills.
Must have knowledge of Ontario Transportation and Safety Regulations.
Must have ability to multi-task in a fast pace and dynamic atmosphere.
Must have the skills and ability to use computer software, computer literate in: Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Maps.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
