Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for providing accounting and clerical support to the accounting department. This includes performing routine accounting tasks such as data entry, maintaining financial records, preparing invoices, processing transactions, and assisting with the reconciliation of accounts.
Duties:
Perform data entry and maintain accurate accounting records
Preparation of invoices and bills
Reconcile bank statements and financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including verifying and posting invoices, payments, and receipts.
Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, and sales tax computations.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, summaries, and analyses as needed.
Provide support for audits and internal control procedures.
Respond to inquiries and provide information to internal and external stakeholders regarding accounting matters
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., Made2Manager, QuickBooks, SAP) preferred.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
