We are seeking a driven and bilingual (English and French) Acquisition Director with strong communications skills to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for negotiating and offering lump-sum cash payments to public and private cell tower landlords for an assignment of future rental income associated with their cell sites, over the telephone and by email by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Researching and compiling list of prospective customers for use as acquisition leads, based on information within our data base, information generated by one’s own market knowledge to enhance that information and other sources.
- Make outbound calls and lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone, mail, and e-mail to build rapport with prospective landlords and acts as an advisor and subject matter expert, negotiate, qualify leads, and acquire rents
- Originate and acquire wireless infrastructure assets
- Perform market research activities to enhance lead quality
- Utilize CRM system to manage pipeline and create lead activities & uploads transaction documents in M-Files
- Deliver on monthly/quarterly/annual goals as required
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending sales training meetings (and providing valuable input); reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices
- Provide ongoing pipeline support to see deals through to full legal completion, working hand in hand with underwriting, legal departments etc
- Ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned by manager
- Engage in continuous, ongoing training to educate oneself in all aspects of the acquisition process so that you can be an advisor to telecoms site owners by understanding the varying and necessary legal, financial, taxation structures etc.
- Work with customers professional advisors (solicitors, accountants etc.) to safely see deals through to full legal completion
What Are We Looking For?
Education:
- Graduate degree in Business or Finance
Experience:
- 3-5 years of sales experience in finance, real estate, telecom, lease negotiation, site acquisition or similar
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required (both oral and written)
Technical Skills:
- Prior work experience with a CRM system and associated dashboard and reporting functionality
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), internet and database management)
Soft Skills:
- Proven ability to drive sales process to a close
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong leadership and relationship building skills
- Ability to develop rapport and act as a trusted advisor
- Demonstrated ability to work through regulated companies’ procedures to contract for Infrastructure services
- Organized and detail orientated
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
- Strong negotiation and closing expertise with a proven track record
Physical Requirements:
- Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day
- Ability to travel and meet with clients on frequent basis (50%)

Salary Range: CA$65,000 - CA$90,000 annual base Commission
Please note, the pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, department budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
