BW Gold is a wholly owned subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc (“Artemis”). Artemis is listed on the TSX Venture exchange, and is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with strong financials aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions. Our current focus is construction of the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver.

Artemis Gold received its BC Mines Act permit for Blackwater Mine in March 2023 enabling the project to move into major works construction.
Reporting to the Supervisor – Processing, the Operator - CIL and Carbon Elution is responsible for operating and monitoring equipment in the CIL and carbon elution circuits to extract and recover gold from ore. Our Processing department is responsible for the extraction and processing of minerals to produce high-quality products for our customers worldwide.
Location: Blackwater Mine site - located 160 km southwest of Prince George, BC.
Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On – Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation

Responsibilities:
Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
Operate and monitor equipment in the CIL (Carbon-in-Leach) and carbon elution circuits, including tanks, pumps, screens, and filters, to extract and recover gold from ore.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to start up, shut down, and adjust equipment settings as needed to maintain efficient operation and product quality.
Monitor process parameters, such as pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature, pulp density, and flow rates, and adjust to optimize circuit performance and achieve production targets.
Track carbon densities and precious metal loading progress to coordinate carbon advancement and to compensate fresh carbon.
Conduct carbon screening and transfer carbon for acid wash, stripping and regeneration.
Coordinate with Gold Room operators for precious metal stripping and electrowinning.
Monitor Weak Acid Dissociable (WAD) Cyanide of the final tails and make processing adjustments to achieve targets.
Assist control room operator to monitor oxygen unit production.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any potential issues or safety hazards.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or process disturbances, diagnosing problems and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and production losses.
Qualifications:
4 years previous experience in mineral processing or hydrometallurgical operations is required.
Experience in cyanide leaching, CIP/CIL and carbon elution circuits is preferred.
Experience and training in chemical reagent handling (WHIMIS), especially cyanide is an asset.
Good safety record in previous operation and working position.
Ability to see and differentiate colour for cyanide safety reasons.
Strong technical knowledge of mineral processing principles, practices, and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and process disturbances.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation.
Comfortable working and living in close quarters with the team.
Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift.
Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift.
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
Ability to work night shift.
