PLUMBER-TERMINAL MAINTENANCE

12 Month - Term Certain

You are a safety-minded individual, responsible for the installation and maintenance of all mechanical plumbing systems throughout BC Ferries facilities. This includes repairing, maintaining, and installing washroom fixtures and appliances, pumps, furnaces, tanks, sprinklers, valves, boilers, drains, fire hydrants, steam pipe, sewage, and water lines; as well as testing and installing systems. You are responsible for conducting visual and operational inspections and ensuring the integrity of all mechanical systems.

You have a thorough understanding of Industry Standards, WBC regulations and safe work practices. You have a proven ability to anticipate and analyze problems and initiate appropriate solutions and react quickly and efficiently in emergency situations. You are a clear, concise communicator with the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

You have a valid BC Plumbing certification, as well as a minimum 3 years’ related experience. A valid BC driver’s licence is required as moderate travel throughout the fleet is required.
