To support our expansive growth, we are excited to welcome a Maintenance Supervisor to our team.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Facilities Manager in leading and overseeing the day-to-day activities for the BC Green Facility. In addition to working at the Castle Rock Farm facility, the Maintenance Supervisor will support work done at Optimi Health Corp.

Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work on various equipment and machines, and a mechanical aptitude (i.e. Installation/maintaining Small electrical appliances, HVAC, Pumps, Basic Plumbing and Electrical to help maintain and assist with preventative measures) are all required.

This role will involve working with Facilities Management, leadership and employees to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to adhere to, maintain and promote a positive company culture.
  • Maintain and repair production equipment, structures and systems, including, but not limited to: Irrigation systems, HVAC Systems and Facility Access Systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues through pre-established procedures.
  • Provide leadership, expertise and advice in all matters related to equipment.
  • Achieves optimum equipment performance and availability through the execution of preventative maintenance programs to meet operational plans, schedules and standards.
  • Direct the execution of corrective breakdown maintenance activities to ensure they are carried out safely, correctly and efficiently to maximize equipment availability.
  • Help coordinate major repairs and other capital extensive projects.
  • Maintain operational up-time for all automated building and operational systems.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with SOP’s and guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with team, contractors, and suppliers, but verbally and in writing.
  • Ensure scheduled maintenance of all systems.
  • Promote and ensure a safe work environment with strict adherence to H&S protocols.
  • Provide on-call duties and respond to emergencies as required to ensure product quality is maintained.
  • Follow Company rules and policies regarding employee conduct and respect.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Problem solving skills; willingness and flexibility to foresee and overcome obstacles.
  • Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP or HVAC certified) are optimal.
  • Working knowledge and experience in a wide variety of maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, pneumatics, carpentry, pumps and drywall finishing work.
  • Experience working with HVAC, Plumbing, Chiller plants, Electrical and automated processing equipment.
  • Must have in-depth working knowledge and experience in maintenance optimization and cost saving.
  • Experience working in a production facility with GMP standards and/or in a cannabis facility is an asset.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures in accordance with WHMIS, OHSA, as well as local regulations.
  • At the Company’s expense, consent to a criminal record background check in advance of starting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in various conditions, including exposure to humidity, heat, and cold.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.

Pay: $105,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
