Job Summary:
Bornea Dynamics is seeking a skilled and dedicated Naval Technical Officer to work with an esteemed Government of Canada client on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have an active Secret Level II security clearance and meet the following qualifications:
Location: Remote with occasional travel to Esquimalt, BC, and Halifax, NS

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training in accordance with the course Lesson Plan, using appropriate Adult Education techniques as provided by the client.
- Set up the classroom prior to the scheduled start time.
- Provide an administrative briefing to participants at the beginning of the course outlining the location of fire exits, washrooms, restaurant facilities, lunchroom area, and course outline.
- Distribute attendance lists to participants for their signatures.
- Evaluate tests and/or assignments.
- Distribute course certificates to participants.
- Distribute course evaluations to participants.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to the Technical Authority about the course.
- Set up the online environment in accordance with the training plan (as required).
- Identify potential problems and propose solutions.
- Produce evaluation reports and subject-specific development recommendations for internal stakeholders and sign-off authorities.
- Execute approved, planned activities including work products required to update the training requirements, timing, quality control, infrastructure, and delivery mechanisms.
- Conduct program reviews including equipment-specific training requirement assessment and civilian certification equivalencies.
- Implement Technology Enabled Learning (TEL), manage course feedback, develop and review course pilots, and update course standards.
- Review On-the-Job Performance Requirements (OJPR) packages, including content and drawing updates.
- Perform training administration tasks, including QSP updates and data entry, and course evaluations.
- Execute change management activities, including organizational analysis and process reviews.
- Manage project activities and controls, including the development of reports and project management tools (e.g., schedule, risk register, action log, SharePoint site management).
Collaboration:
The instructors are required to work collaboratively with staff to progress the activities identified above. Regular and effective communication and interaction with the clients are essential to confirm the priority of activities being progressed.
Qualifications:
- Active Secret Level II security clearance
- Extensive knowledge of Marine and Combat Systems
- Experience in delivering training and evaluating tests/assignments
- Strong project management and change management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Proficiency in setting up and managing online training environments
