MRO Buyer

Purchase all goods and services to meet MRO (maintenance, Repair, Operations) requirements of plant. Some production buying.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Review and source ECO for product
• Select vendors to work with
• Work closely with operations, maintenance and production departments for product approval
• Meet with suppliers and develop logistics for supply contracts
• Deal with invoice discrepancies
• Maintain parts file
• Follow-up and arrange for pick-ups for MRO orders
• Process receipts of MRO goods
• Regular trips out to the production floor

• Completion of high school or equivalent
• One (1) or more years of previous experience as a purchaser
• Strong negotiating skills
• Superb communication ability, both written and verbal
• Cordial phone manner
• Highly organized with great attention to detail
• Proficiency with MS Office as asset (Word and Excel)
• Comfortable learning new ETP systems
