We are currently seeking a
full-time Commercial Operations Specialist to join our team in Toronto, ON.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Commercial Operations Specialist is responsible for driving operational excellence within the IV Drugs business by ensuring the day-to-day operations are running effectively and efficiently. They will also be responsible for supporting and leading commercial operations activities within the Marketing Department.

This role is highly interactive with key stakeholders across the organization.

  • Maintains up-to-date training documents for reporting positions via Kabi LIFT Learning Management System (LMS User'Curriculum Change Notice Forms, Training Documentation Forms, and On the Job Training Forms) and other position specific training, as required
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to enhance key stakeholder experience by identifying ways to streamline and simplify processes
  • Works closes with the supply chain and quality team to ensure product inventory is managed appropriately
  • Review and advise on supply disruptions, allocation strategies, and inventory management
  • Tracks and communicates new product launches and changes to internal and external customers
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating external shortages reporting websites
  • Tracks and reports on competitor shortages
  • Actively participates in cross-functional meetings and provides direction on behalf of commercial team
  • Builds and manages tools to encourage inventory predictability, accountability and accuracy.
  • Help maintain Marketing Department policies, procedures, training manuals, and sales-related resource material
  • Assists with the following product planning, forecasting and budgeting tasks:

o Analyzes market conditions, identifies opportunities and strategically grounded cost-effective tactics, forecast, budget and timelines

  • Performs the following market research and analysis tasks:

o Identify sales trends and investigate root causes to help improve demand planning accuracy

o Monitors/reports on the activities of any new or existing competition

  • Supports and liaises with field sales staff and management to monitor product sales for market planning and implementation
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving KT when assigned
  • Performs any other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree in business/marketing, science or related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Well-developed capabilities in problem-solving and critical thinking
  • High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness with strong work ethic
  • Strategic and creative thinker, strong business sense and financial skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent Excel skills; SAP experience is an asset

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels both inside and outside the organization
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
