Program and Project Manager, supporting
Atlantic Colleges Atlantique. In this hybrid role, you'll oversee a range of IT systems modernization projects and chair key committees, driving strategic transformation across Atlantic organizations.
The position reports to VP, Academic, Innovation and Student Affairs and can be located at any of our NBCC locations.
The salary for this role is:
$3,412.00 to $4,128.00 bi-weekly.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Program And Project Leadership
- Drive Modernization Initiatives: Lead and coordinate IT system modernization projects, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals.
- Develop Comprehensive Plans: Create detailed project plans with clear objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Ensure Success: Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Chair Committees: Lead and facilitate the Systems Modernization Steering Committee and other relevant committees, ensuring effective governance and decision-making.
Resource Management
- Oversee Resources: Manage project budgets and resources in collaboration with project leaders.
- Facilitate Communication: Work with internal and external stakeholders to maintain effective communication and address issues promptly.
Strategic Insight And Innovation
- Assess and Plan: Evaluate short-term IT needs and plan for long-term requirements in partnership with the committee.
- Optimize Systems: Identify opportunities for improvement and propose innovative solutions.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest tech trends and recommend impactful innovations.
Project Monitoring And Assessment
- Manage Risks: Identify and resolve potential project issues to minimize impact.
- Ensure Quality: Conduct quality reviews to ensure deliverables meet stakeholder expectations.
- Measure Performance: Implement systems to monitor and assess project performance.
- Report Progress: Prepare regular updates and transparent reports on project status and outcomes.
- Gather Feedback: Actively seek stakeholder feedback to address needs and enhance satisfaction.
Supplier Management & Regulatory Compliance
- Build Relationships: Maintain strong partnerships with IT suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage service performance.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to IT laws, regulations, and policies, including data protection and cybersecurity standards.
Change Management
- Lead Change: Champion change management, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption.
- Train and Develop: Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills.
- Communicate Effectively: Develop and execute a communication plan to keep stakeholders informed of project progress.
- Evaluate Impact: Assess the effectiveness of changes based on user satisfaction and system efficiency improvements.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Diploma/Degree in Information technology or related field and a PMP certificate
- Excellent communication skills in English. Proficieny in French is considered as an asset
- Should have experience in full project life cycle in a complex project environment.
