Reporting to the Senior Coordinator, The Field Operator role in Edson will have the opportunity to contribute by supporting maintenance schedule, by preparing equipment for scheduled work, conduct testing as required, implement proper LOTO procedures and troubleshooting analysis. Work Environment:

• This position is located in Edson and requires the successful candidate to live in the area
• This is a full-time employee position working a shift of 12 hrs per day, 8 days on, 6 days off.
  
  

What you’ll do:

• Initiate troubleshooting activities for all abnormal operational events and take corrective actions as necessary
• Implement and support performance management
• Conduct walkarounds, participate in informal LOTO, HSE safety audits, perform safety checks and audits
• Monitor and ensure regulatory compliance
• Complete business improvements by assessing opportunities and challenging the status quo in support of the asset’s overall operational targets
• Elevate issues, opportunities and risks to appropriate decision-makers when required and to influence optimization and continuous improvement
• Champion and drive the health and wellness of our people assets in support of Cenovus’ safety culture and values
• Compliance Assurance:
• Assist with all regulatory and environmental regulation requirements are in compliance
• Assist and guide operations with Inactive Well Inspections and SCV checks
• Contributes to & participates in the development of the business strategy/plans
• Support and back-fill Sr Coordinator as needed
• Standardization and best practices
• Regulatory and contractual compliance assurance
• Optimized and fit for purpose projects/designs
• Effective partner engagement in projects, business opportunities, changes, improvements
• Effective implementation of changes and/or new processes
• Assist with rollouts
  
  

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

• Legally authorized to work in Canada
• Minimum 5 years’ Operating experience
• Proficient computer skills, able to learn multiple programs

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments

For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate
