Hours: 22-40 hours per week Shifts: Evenings & weekends

Reporting to the Recreation & Community Services Manager, a Clerk II is a reliable, energetic, self-
motivated individual, who strives to deliver exceptional service. This position requires an individual with
excellent customer service skills, a strong organizational ability along with the capacity to work effectively
and independently in a multi-tasking environment. The successful candidate will enjoy working with the
public, possess conflict resolution attributes, be highly adaptable and a quick learner.

This position directly contributes to recreation and happiness in our Community!

What you’ll do

  • Provide superior customer service
  • Payments and cash handling
  • Facility bookings
  • Answers recreation and community questions (phone, email or in-person) related to programs,
services or events at the Recreation Complex
  • Program registration services
  • General clerical duties
  • To supervise public members of all ages, enforce facility code of conduct and safety rules
  • Provide first aid as necessary
  • Follow all safety regulations and emergency procedures
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs at the Recreation Complex and the community
  • Other duties as assigned by management, supervisors or team leads


What you’ll bring

  • Grade 12 or GED
  • Standard First Aid, CPR-C & AED or willing to take prior to start date
  • One to three years of general clerical experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite


  • Accurate typing speed of 50 words per minute
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a clean Criminal Record Check
