Seeking a dedicated and passionate Field Supervisor for an energy efficiency program targeted at remote First Nations communities in Northwestern Ontario. This role supports a Program that aims to hire and train representatives in each of the target Remote Communities to conduct energy audits of homes and businesses, identify opportunities for energy-efficient upgrades including LED lighting, appliances, bathroom fans, and more, and then coordinate the delivery and installation of those upgrades.

The Field Supervisor role is based in Thunder Bay, works remotely from home, and requires some travel to remote communities to support the program objectives and to develop trusted relationships. The Field Supervisor is responsible for field staff management, external contractor management, logistics of deliveries to remote communities, and community relationship management. The Field Supervisor also acts as local on-site program and company representative to customers and contractors to encourage participation in the program and overcome barriers.

Key Responsibilities:

• 40% Remote supervision of technicians in Remote First Nation communities.
• 25% Develop training manuals and train staff based upon reviewing quality of work.
• 15% Provide input and status updates to program staff. Coordinates training on certifications for employees based upon program guidelines.
• 15% Travel to Remote First Nations communities and also to Toronto for company and client meetings.
• 5% Misc.

Education and Experience:

• Able to travel to remote communities in Ontario as required by the program, likely every 6-12 weeks.
• Experience managing field staff desired.
• Experience liaising with and engaging with First Nations communities desired.
• Ideally has experience with energy efficiency programs.
• Has experience working and building relationships and trust with vulnerable communities
• Prior experience managing and coordinating complex deliveries
• Ability to be flexible and able to adapt and change approaches to achieve results
• Strengths: detail oriented, organized, flexible, adaptable, compassionate, understanding, strong work ethic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.80-$54.80 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
