CNC Industries is a prominent manufacturer of OEM components for the Mining, Construction, Earthmoving Industries, and specialized parts used in the Oil Extraction process. We are currently looking for an experienced Manufacturing Coordinator. This position will be responsible for coordination of work to ensure the successful completion of production schedules and shipments to achieve the business goals. The Coordinator will work closely with purchasing, production and shipping to ensure customer orders are met within the given timeframe – ensure the ongoing success of the production team, improve throughput and other in-house processes with the objective of reducing overall costs and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Wage Range: Depending on experience.

Shifts Available: Day shift.


Key Responsibilities:

Productivity:

  • Ensure the Health & Safety of themselves, team members and customers in an environmentally friendly manner
  • Ensure compliance with all HSE programs – being a HSE champion, ensuring policies are adhered to, including bringing new ideas to the table
  • Support in promoting a positive work environment and adopting a culture of continuous improvement across departments
  • Collaborate and coordinate with all departments at CNC to work towards the strategic goals of the business; interact with management, colleagues, visitors, government agencies/personnel.
  • Monitor and ensure jobs run as scheduled, implement material flow, planning and sequence of operations: that materials arrived, inspected, released, that tooling’s identified, ordered and received, that programming is prepared, including sub-processes are organized and delivery is on time.
  • Support in establishing regular target setting, for growth, development and maximizing contribution and efficiency of employees; using the skills matrix and communication
  • Monitor the performance of production employees, including production and quality standards and support in increasing workflow productivity by understanding the training needs of all
  • Ensure production goals are set and met – resolving any production challenges that may arise
  • Identify, investigate, correct and document potential production problems
  • Support in implementing production planning and control systems for operations to achieve strategic financial and profitability expectations and customer service levels for on-time delivery, quality and cost
  • Assist in creating and optimizing manufacturing and resource schedules
  • Works closely with Engineering to ensure new parts are scheduled for fabrication in a timely manner.
  • Understand tooling and maintaining strong business relationship with vendors, including bringing them in to assess efficiencies
  • Work closely with Quality to ensure recommendations to improve processes are incorporated in a timely manner – decrease the number of parts identified as NCs by Quality by identifying it in operations first.
  • Monitor the correction process of deficiencies are completed in a timely manner
  • Support Leads and Director in conducting weekly and monthly meetings – HSE and production updates for machining, operations, and staffing
  • Lead the new product review meetings as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Profile and Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience machining, manufacturing, programming and supervisory experience
  • Direct knowledge machining manufacturing methodologies
  • Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma an asset
  • Experience using CNC machines, turning & milling – DMG’s, Mazaks, and Weiler’s
  • Programming experience with Espirit
  • Experience using Probing software – Renishaw equipment an asset
  • Extensive knowledge of tooling, calibrated equipment, part loading & clamping and machine maintenance
  • Must be able read and interpret complex manufacturing drawings
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Sigma Six and /or other Continual Improvement experience an asset
  • Proficient with MS applications, and ERP systems
  • Effective communication skills with team members at all levels of the organization
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills: the ability to identify and evaluate potential challenges on a proactive basis
  • Strong work ethic: excellent organizational skills - demonstrated time management, ability to prioritize, multitask and maintain flexibility within tight timelines
  • Keen attention to detail with meticulous delivery of the highest quality of standards and accuracy
  • Must be open to continuous learning and improvement - interest and the ability to learn new products, applications, tools, and technology

 

Working conditions:

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity – required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Work involves walking, standing, bending, lifting, and kneeling.
  • Day shift, some weekends as needed.
