Faculty Appointment Types Full Time-Limited Term Sessional Non-NRSL Job Summary
The College of New Caledonia is seeking a sessional instructor to teach the Pipe Trades Program at the Prince George Campus.
Skills & Qualifications
- Red Seal Plumber Certification with a minimum of 5 years experience;
- B Level Gas Certification (A Level preferred);
- Red Seal Steamfitter/Pipefitter Certification;
- Current Cross Connection Control Certificate (CCC) with BCWWA as a qualification or an asset;
- Demonstrated ability to trouble shoot and problem solve with the objective of meeting student and teaching needs;
- Ability to work independently, being proactive in identifying needs and tasks, organizing and coordinating several activities and working with competing priorities;
- Must possess interpersonal skills suitable for effective interaction with other College departments, faculty, staff, students, outside agencies, suppliers, etc.;
- Preference will be given to those candidates who are current in the trade and who have proven teaching and/or supervisory experience;
Hiring criteria shall include professional qualifications, professional experience and contributions, teaching experience, community awareness and personal attributes so far as they are applicable to the job classification in question.
