Contact North BC has an immediate opening for a Logistics Coordinator to work with
and in support of the Executive Director. The successful candidate will work remotely
(home office) within the northwest region of BC.
The Logistics Coordinator has the important role of managing and coordinating various
aspects of the Contact North BC project to ensure efficiency, professionalism, and a
high standard of service along with high regard for community autonomy and privacy.
Contact North BC is based in northwest BC, serving Haida Gwaii to Houston, and plans
to expand outside the northwest region.
In partnership with First Nations and underserved communities, Contact North BC
provides increased access to public post-secondary education and training within
communities. It does this by jointly establishing community-based access centres on an
as-needed basis. Presently, there are 22 established centres: 19 in the Coast Mountain
College region and three in the Northern Lights College region.

Duties and responsibilities:
events, deadlines, rescheduling appointments and providing daily and weekly
reminders
such as reports, meeting notes, emails and letters related to specific activities
the Executive Director

Skills and qualifications required:
1. Post-secondary degree or an acceptable combination of post-secondary
education and work experience
2. Strong attention to detail and strict adherence to standardized policy and
procedures
3. Sensitivity and advanced experience working with remote Indigenous peoples
and communities
4. Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and verbal
5. Capable of meeting short deadlines and reprioritizing as required
6. Advanced understanding of online, distance education and technologies as
applied to post-secondary and training
7. Positive, energetic, self-starter with a capacity to work in a multi-tasked office
environment
8. Advanced skills with Microsoft 365 applications
9. Advanced computer and learning technologies skills
10. Ability to conduct research and create reports or presentations
11. Proven experience working with confidential/sensitive information
Travel throughout northwest BC to Cariboo regions is required on occasion. Applicants
must have access to a reliable vehicle and a valid BC Class 5 driver’s licence.
Contact North BC offers:
Þ Full-time 35 hours/week for a two-year term (February 2024 to March 15, 2026).
Hours are mainly daytime, but flexibility to accommodate an occasional evening
or weekend may be required.

Þ Competitive salary range of $55,000 - $60,000 per year commensurate with
experience and qualifications and a benefits plan.
