Position Overview:
The Materials Manager will join our multidisciplinary Warehouse Team in a leadership position. Utilizing your experience logistics, warehouse management, and supply chain you will set the standard for inventory management controls, cross functional collaboration, and delivering KPIs for supply chain management services to meet our production guarantees and customer needs while championing a safe work environment. The role will provide expertise in compliance, sustainability, and ERP systems management, as well as provide feedback on our methods, tools, and best practices.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Inventory Management and Control:*
Oversee inventory, balancing the need to fulfill orders quickly with the need to minimize stock holding and handling costs. Implement inventory optimization strategies, conduct regular stock checks, and make data-driven decisions to manage stock levels.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand accurately. Develop and manage production and supply plans that meet this demand, considering factors like production capacity, lead times, and seasonality
Oversee all logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution. Ensure that all products are stored, handled, and delivered efficiently and cost-effectively, while maintaining high levels of service
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations, and regularly track and report performance against these metrics. Use this data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to address them.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing supply chain team. Foster a positive, collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning and improvement.
Work closely with other departments, such as finance, sales, marketing, and production, to align supply chain processes with business goals. Facilitate communication and collaboration across these teams to improve overall business performance.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain team. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service through process improvements, technological innovations, and other initiatives.
Leverage the latest supply chain technologies, such as ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS), to streamline and automate processes.
Ensure all supply chain operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
