What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Tax Manager within our Accounting & Finance division. This position falls under our Cambridge Cross - Border line of business and is located in Toronto, CA. In this role, you will be an integral part of the global tax department and will have the opportunity to work on value added projects including international tax advisory, compliance, acquisition, and transfer pricing in all jurisdictions where the company operates. You will report directly Sr. Tax Team Members and regularly collaborate with Financial Reporting, Legal & Payroll team.

As a Tax Manager you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Manage the preparation and filing of tax returns, including corporate income tax, commodity/sales tax, transfer pricing, and other relevant tax filings in all jurisdictions where the company operates.
- Prepare tax provisions, reconciliations, and disclosures for financial reporting purposes in accordance with IFRS, US GAAP, and local GAAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with tax laws and regulations, including monitoring changes in tax legislation and advising management on potential impacts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the tax planning relating to acquisitions/ mergers, new business activities and policies to ensure alignment with the company's overall objectives.
- Manage transfer pricing compliance requirements across jurisdictions, including the preparation of transfer pricing calculations, policies, intercompany agreements, withholding tax obligations, and documentation in accordance with OECD and local regulations, including country by country reporting, local-file and master file.
- Manage external tax audits, inquiries, and controversies with tax authorities in various jurisdictions, ensuring favorable outcomes and minimizing potential exposures.
- Analyze tax laws as applicable to the group, including, researching and advising on various corporate tax matters for all jurisdictions.
- Implement tax compliance controls and procedures to enhance the company's overall tax risk management framework.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness and expertise of the tax function.
- Assist the FP&A team with annual commodity tax and transfer pricing budgeting.
- Ensure effective governance and controls are in place, establish procedures and update policies driven by the dynamic change and growth of the organization
Qualifications & Skills
- 5 years of experience working within the local and/or international tax function of a public accounting firm with experience in tax audit and or corporate income tax
- Exceptional organizational, presentation and time management skills
- Excellent team bonding skills and ability to work with others in a hybrid team environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve and make decisions
- Excellent communicational skills and a team-player with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s in Accounting
- Completion of the CPA Canada In-depth Tax course, or have a Master of Taxation degree
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred
