Quality Manager

Dawson Road Maintenance is looking for a Quality Manager who ensures adherence to standards, leads improvement initiatives, and communicates effectively with stakeholders. In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Road Maintenance, working in a permanent, full-time position of Quality Manager. The Quality Manager will report to the Manager, Operations. This position is a critical part of the management team and will oversee our Quality Management System (QMS).

Fort St. John is also a great location to view the northern lights during the nighttime WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Maintenance of auditing programsLead inspection of work activitiesMaintain accurate and detailed records in accordance with the QMSConducting inspections on required materials for winter and summer work activitiesReporting on supplier evaluationsAssist in providing operations training and development improvementsParticipate in all levels of the organization to continually improve service deliveryRegular travel, as required, across the service areaManage incidents of non-conformanceCommunicate effectively with the Ministry of Transportation (MoTI), stakeholders, crews, supervisors, and the general publicDevelop Category 2 Traffic Management PlansPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate WHAT YOU BRING Minimum five (5) years road and bridge maintenance and/or construction experiencePrevious managerial experience is preferredPossesses thorough knowledge and understanding of both the MOTI specifications, BC road and bridge maintenance and ISO 9001:2015 QMS standardsStrong computer skills (MS Office)Successfully completed ISO 9001 Lead Auditory TrainingPost-secondary degree in Engineering, Science or related field BENEFITS Looking to be a key member of a well-established family-owned company?
