Yard Labourer

LEGACY EQUIPMENT is seeking a motivated and reliable Yard Labourer for work with a construction equipment rental company in Edmonton, AB. The successful candidate has a comprehensive understanding of construction equipment and small tools.

Responsibilities:

• Returning tools/equipment to the appropriate location
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles by hand or with forklift
• Picking and packing orders accurately, safely and efficiently
• Dismantling and reassembling deliveries
• Processing/maintaining organized paperwork and records
• Creating and printing custom signage as per customer orders
• Moving supplies to storage areas
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy
• Daily housekeeping of indoor and outdoor areas
• Assisting yard staff with day to day operations
• Other tasks as required

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of construction tools and equipment
• Previous equipment rental company experience is an asset
• Safety oriented mindset
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Forklift Operator, TDG/WHMIS, Fall Protection and Elevated Work Platform certification is an asset
• Construction and/or equipment background is an asset
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency and attention to detail when performing daily tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, must be diligent when processing paperwork
• Own transportation, valid driver’s license, satisfactory driver’s abstract
• Proficient with computers and basic software
• Must be able to work in extreme cold and heat and in inclement weather, as required
