Five Star is growing! We are looking for a part-time People Administrator to join our team.

The People Administrator performs day-to-day human resources administration and works closely with the Management to deliver company programs. Our ideal candidate has strong administrative skills, is organized with an eye for detail, has strong communication skills, and a good knowledge of Employment Standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists with recruitment process by posting vacancies, screening and filtering resumes, scheduling interviews, and performing reference checks.
  • Performs orientation and update records of new hires.
  • Assists in preparing employee-related documentation, disciplinary letters, termination letters, etc.
  • Issues, monitors, and reconciles inventory of keys, company uniforms, cell phones and all Five Star property for employees.
  • Assists with payroll, ROEs and T4 documentation for biweekly employees.
  • Assists in the planning and execution of company/employee events such as Job Fairs, Annual Holiday Party, Seasonal celebrations, etc.
  • Assists operations with employee's attendance for future coverage if needed.
  • Undertakes special ad hoc projects as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree/diploma in human resources management or related field
  • 2 years HR experience, preferably with a focus on recruitment
  • Payroll and benefits experience; and knowledge of Ceridian software is an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel spreadsheets/ functions

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
