What you’ll get to work on
As our Lead Product Designer, you'll play a crucial role in guiding the development of Flare's cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions. Your expertise will be vital in directing our product design efforts in the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape. You'll work closely with a dedicated product team and top-tier engineers, making decisions that significantly influence our trajectory. Our approach integrates a dual-track discovery and delivery method, centered around a 6-week 'Shape Up' process, fostering concentrated engineering initiatives and thoughtful product evolution. In this role, you will have substantial influence over the future direction of Flare, with every strategy and decision being of utmost importance.
Role and responsibilities:
- Strategic Design Vision: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and prioritize a design roadmap that aligns with our company objectives, customer needs, and market opportunities. Drive the evolution of the design language and principles to ensure a cohesive and distinctive brand identity that energizes the organization and our customers.
- End-to-End Design Ownership: Manage the complete design lifecycle, from user research and initial concept through development and launch, ensuring the solutions meet both business objectives and user expectations.
- User-Centered Design: Advocate for our users, prioritizing their needs and challenges in every design decision to ensure an exceptional user experience.
- Team development: Hire, mentor and develop a team of skilled designers and managers.
- Design Process Optimization: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate design into agile development cycles, ensuring a seamless and iterative design approach.
Qualifications:
- Experience: You must have at least 10 years of experience in design on data-driven products and a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to traverse ambiguous problem spaces and cut through complexity.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience in UI/UX for data analytics platform, cybersecurity or IT-related SaaS such as configuration management, developer platforms, etc. Deep understanding of design tools, modern software development practices, and prototyping tools.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve exceptional results.
- Communication: Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to convey complex design concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical abilities, with a knack for leveraging data to inform design decisions.
Bonus Points:
- Background in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or threat exposure management.
- Experience in or understanding of data science principles.
- Familiarity with web technologies.
