The Role:
The Infrastructure & Safety Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of safety and maintenance for the activity infrastructure, building assets and equipment at TAG. Working closely with the operational leadership team, the role ensures the seasonal demands are met to enable successful operational delivery.
Responsibilities:
Maintain the Cougar Mountain site to ensure the effective operation of TAG activities.
Lead the development and implementation of safety and risk management policies and procedures in compliance with provincial and local regulators such as Technical Safety and Work Safe BC.
Ensure adherence to all government statutes, laws, bylaws, and permit restrictions and represent the company proactively to official representatives.
Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, retainer agreements and insurance providers.
Develop and deliver safety training including running emergency response drills.
Support day-to-day operations of TAG.
Plan and execute preventative and seasonal maintenance activities.
Ensures all activity infrastructure, site and equipment inspections are completed.
Executes diligent project planning and cost control associated with all repairs and maintenance overheads related to TAG operations.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures relating to safety, maintenance, and asset management.
Champion Joint Health and Safety Committee; conducts monthly meetings, communicates meeting minutes and update OH&S documentation to ensure compliance with Work Safe BC.
Keeping up to date with changes in safety regulations and advancements in infrastructure technology.
Other duties as reasonably directed.
Requirements:
Previous maintenance experience is essential with experience in managing infrastructure and assets highly regarded.
Understanding of safety regulations and standards relevant to adventure activities with the ability to lead a health and safety committee, conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and investigating incidents.
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey safety protocols and procedures to staff at all levels and to interact with regulatory agencies.
Analytical skills to assess risks and develop strategies for mitigating them.
Project management and problem-solving skills to address maintenance and safety issues as they arise.
Salary and Team Perks:
$65,000 - $85,000 annual salary based on experience and qualifications.
