How Pharmacist Support Our Teams At Grand River Hospital
The Health Care Centre Pharmacy is the retail pharmacy located in and owned by Grand River Hospital. The position offers a unique professional opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary health care team in the provision of pharmaceutical care to community clients.
Patient safety is one of our primary objectives. In addition, services are provided to outpatients of the Hospital’s specialty clinics and the Regional Cancer Centre.
The Health Care Centre Pharmacy embraces the enhanced scope of practice for pharmacists and is actively integrating regulated pharmacy technicians into daily practice.
At Grand River Hospital, The Pharmacist
- Bachelor degree in Pharmacy
- Current pharmacist license with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, Part A of the Register
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience in pharmacy practice
- Must be injection certified.
- Willingness to incorporate all aspects of the expanded pharmacist’s scope of practice
- The successful candidate will be equipped with excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem solving skills and demonstrated initiative
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
- Proven good attendance record
- McKesson PTS experience preferred – but not essential
