The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of warehouse clerks, acting as the main point of support for the employees, and for preparing orders for shipping. Must use packing lists/scan gun to pick a wide variety of items and must arrange items in final shipping materials.
To ensure success, the Warehouse Team Lead needs to be able to lead a team, pay attention to detail, and be able to organize items. Must be able to perform duties with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
Act as a main point of contact, emphasize the importance of quality standards and compliance with safety measures.
Meet daily objectives as assigned by the department supervisor.
Supervise a small team of clerks in their operational duties.
Monitor service levels for specific tasks and take action when necessary.
Act as a bridge between the warehouse and other departments to manage exceptional cases.
Demonstrate dynamism and creativity in the suggestions made, in order to contribute to the operational excellence of the company.
Monitor supplies and maintain correct inventory levels.
Check orders and inventory for accuracy.
Champion commitment and recognize team successes.
Ensure work areas are kept clean, neat, and well organized.
Support the warehouse clerks with any daily tasks and duties.
Oversee that packing lists and all other printed material associated with the order are clean and clear before being put into boxes.
Oversee that packed boxes are placed where they belong so that they may be shipped at the end of the day and with the appropriate carrier.
Maintain records, report relevant information, and prepare any necessary documentation.
Ensure that all products/inventory is stored safely and according to required standards.
Create batch files and print all necessary documents in a timely manner to meet client Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
Ensure that warehouse clerks follow instructions/information specified on each individual order form.
Oversee that all products picked meet 3DM & GMP quality standards and are not damaged in any way.
Oversee that completed orders meet all aspects of 3DM & GMP quality standards.
Ensure that staff has followed the orders precisely and that lot numbers and expiry dates match with client’s orders before orders are sent out.
Immediately report damages, discrepancies, or anomalies to the department supervisor.
Oversee that all parcels for a given batch have been processed before shipping.
Lift, push, or pull items and boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and follow all safety procedures and policies.
Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
Skills and Requirements:
1-2 years of warehouse experience
Past experience in leading a team
A completed high school diploma
Bilingual, both written and oral
Comfortable using a computer, Microsoft office, and Outlook
Strong communication skills
Detail oriented
Deadline oriented
Excellent organizational skills
Physical strength and stamina
Must be able to work both independently and with a team
