JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director, Facilities & Maintenance, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance work performed at Grouse Mountain. The planner will manage the UpKeep maintenance program as well as train current and new employees on the operations of the system.
The Maintenance Planner helps develop strategies for preventive and predictive maintenance systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Works with the Director, Facilities & Maintenance and Electrical, Mechanical, and Facilities Managers to ensure consistent usage of the mountain wide maintenance program, UpKeep.
  • Responsible for ongoing training the maintenance team to ensure proficiency within the UpKeep system.
  • Plan all predictive, preventive and condition-based maintenance to effectively and efficiently carry out all maintenance work in a coordinated way.
  • Input new equipment and track existing inventory in UpKeep.
  • Ensure all maintenance work and projects are recorded in UpKeep.
  • Create and audit task lists for planned maintenance work
  • Monitor work order completion, backlog, and schedule compliance to ensure maintenance operations run smoothly
  • Communicate with Maintenance Managers to prioritize and escalate work orders, assist with administrative tasks as it relates to maintenance work and other departmental priorities.
  • Track and report facility maintenance performance to the Director, Facilities and Maintenance.
  • Prepare maintenance and work order reports as required
  • Other duties as required

None.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Reports to the Director, Facilities & Maintenance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES
  • At least 4-5 years relevant experience in an industrial Maintenance field
  • 1-3 years in a maintenance planning role an asset
  • Prior experience working with CMMs and program implementation
  • Post-secondary school education in a technical field or trade certification an asset
  • Excellent communication skills; written and oral
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, organize and carry out work with minimal supervision
  • Tenacity and resilience to ensure that organized work is completed
  • Must possess a good understanding of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Computer literate; MS Office Suite intermediate to advanced level (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Prior experience with maintenance planning software an asset
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • $60,000 – $70,000 per year
