Sales Associate

Company Information:

Hodgins Building Centre is a family owned business that has been serving the community for 60 years.

We are currently hiring a full time sales associate for our Wingham location.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The sales associate is required to perform the below duties and adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as all safety compliance regulations

• Provide distinct and positive customer service
• Use Point of Sale software to conduct transactions, place orders, and track inventory
• Help contractors/ customers find products and recommend products to complete their projects
• Assist in keeping store organized, clean and aisles up to date
• Manually load and unload materials when needed
• Complete paperwork thoroughly and accurately

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role you will be expected to:

• Be able to work independently and make well informed decisions on your own
• Be a clear communicator, demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills and work effectively with customers and co-workers.
• It would be greatly beneficial to have knowledge of hardware and building materials and their applications.
• Customer service experience is also beneficial

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
