Keyera Career Opportunity Job Type: Staffing Placement Agency THE POSITION Keyera is currently seeking a Drafting Technician to join our Technical Services team, based out of Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta. This is a full time contractor role. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain and update facility drawings, engineering documents, vendor equipment information (OEM). Assist personnel with document search, retrieval and troubleshooting of archived information. Develop piping designs and drafting of piping isometrics for project and maintenance work. Complete drawing reviews and provide feedback. Support the review and updating of standards owned by the drafting department. Liaise between Keyera and external engineering service providers, to ensure that drafting processes, procedures, standards and best practices are utilized. Provide support for project closeouts (redlines, drawing as-builts, turnover). QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic, strong communicators and service oriented with the following qualifications: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Engineering Design and Drafting Technology. Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role within an industrial facility environment. Minimum 5 years' piping design. Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD is required. Advanced computer skills (MS Office, BlueBeam Revu, Cadworx) is required. Experience in piping design utilizing Cadworx software. Strong communication, interpersonal, organization and analytical skills. Self-starter who is able to work independently with minimum supervision. Demonstrated ability to perform successfully in a multi-disciplined work team environment.
