Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook sushi dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure the quality and presentation of sushi dishes are consistent and meet customer expectations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and timely service
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering and stocking of ingredients
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and special requests
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a sushi chef or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including cutting, rolling, and plating
- Familiarity with Japanese cuisine and ingredients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent knife skills and ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
